Seventeen Sisters from our African Provinces took part in an English Speaking Tertiate at Wernberg, Austria from 1 – 27 October, 2016. The Tertiate was facilitated by Sr. Irene Nelles and Sr. Julian Mujuru. The Theme was from the Story of the Samaritan Woman in John 4:1-42. “Give me a Drink”, a theme which portrays not only our thirst for God but more importantly, God’s thirst for intimacy with us.
The following topics were covered: Prayer – Our deepest longing, River of Life, Befriending Anger, Forgiveness, Ministry to Women, Power of Self Talk, Self Esteem, Challenges of Midlife, Mission today, JPIC and Healing of Memories. The Tertiate ended with a 6 days guided retreat based on the theme, “Give me a Drink”, our CPS, I Thirst. This was the climax of the whole Tertiate.
