Ten Sisters representing DR Congo, East Africa, Eastern Cape, Mariannhill, The Netherlands, North America and Mozambique participated in the workshop from 5 August to 1 September 2016 in Namaacha, Mozambique. The facilitators were Sr. Thecla Ndegwa, Sr. Maria Luise Wagner and Sr. Letwina Musekiwa, LCBL. The theme of the workshop was “Martha and Mary – Called to a Place of Balance and Integrity, Our Double Vocation.” The emphasis was to reflect more deeply about the encounter of Mary and Martha with Jesus. The Sisters looked at how, having been touched by God, we respond by living a balanced life of Prayer and Service.
The workshop covered the following topics: Self Awareness, Group/Community Development, Relationships, Boundaries, Discernment, Facilitation and Accompaniment, Self-care, Role of the Formator, CPS Inner Spirit, Prayer, Conflict and Forgiveness, and last but not the least, Communication in Intercultural/International Settings. The initial formation directresses shared more about their experiences in a letter available in our internal site.
