With the theme "... and their eyes were opened (Luke 24:31) - Rooted in God, Signs of Hope for Mission that has No Boundaries" the 14th General Chapter of the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood will take place from 22 August – 12 September 2022 in the Mission House in Neuenbeken, Germany.

Nearly 40 Sisters will represent as delegates the Sisters from the 19 countries in which we are active with about 700 Sisters worldwide.

After 1931 and 2003, this year is the 3rd time that the community of the Mission House hosts this special event.

The General Chapter, held every 5 years, is the highest decision-making body of our religious community.  It is a collegial gathering of General, Provincial and Regional Leadership and elected delegates worldwide.  The most important tasks of a General Chapter are the review, reorientation of our religious life and missionary commitment according to our charism and religious spirituality.  This is connected with the task of listening to the signs of the times in order to perceive God's call in them and to respond to it in the spirit of our Founder Abbot Francis Pfanner and Co-Foundress Mother Paula Emunds.

On August 22, 2022, the General Chapter will begin with the opening Mass.  Then begins the process of listening, deliberating, deciding, during which the Superior General and her Assistants will also be elected.  We pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and God's blessings!
