Leadership: Crossing the Human-Human Divide

We thank all of you for supporting us in prayer during our 2016 Provincial/Regional Superiors’ Meeting in Sangsam-li, Korea.  The theme of our meeting was “Leadership: Crossing the Human – Human Divide.”  This gave us ample opportunity to share our ideas on how to tear down dividing walls and to build bridges between people, cultures, religions etc. This is also part of the answer our charism provides to the challenges of the world today: “Unity is strength.”  The newsletter in our internal site will tell you more about our discussions and deliberations.

Reflection on the Logo

The Cross
is the heart of the Logo. It reminds us of Servant Leadership mirrored in the humility of Christ. In the cross every person is accepted, the cross unites all in Christ.

The Inner Cross
reminds us that we should dedicate ourselves to the mission God has entrusted to us. We should serve one another with a deep reverence.

The Figures
represent our sisters in the various provinces and regions with their diverse ministries and responsibilities. They themselves resemble the shape of a cross because they have a common origin and a common purpose and goal. We are reminded that all we do and all we are is only meaningful in Him, who has redeemed us with his Precious Blood.

The River
on which the figures – we Sisters – stand underpins the link between heaven and earth: we are called to be witnesses to the Risen Christ – together and united with one another, with bold humility in life-giving service.

As we embrace the Synodal Journey from 2021 to 2023, let us invite the Holy Spirit to be at work in us so that we may be a community and a people of grace.
